pain doesn't bother me that much i usually take a few painkillers before i wax and then it doesn't hurt me one bit. i just want to try an epilator for the convenience, because i hate having to wait for the wax to heat up and stuff and if i miss a few hairs then i have to get the wax out again! it can be quite messy aswell and that annoys me! whereas i can just plug an epilator in whenever i want and use it. some of my friends use them and they say it's the same as waxing and you get used to the pain the more you do it, and it's best to do it in the evening after you've had a bath/shower cause the pores are open so it hurts less! it's worth a try anyway i guess! thanks for the advice though x |

| Oh my lulu is right!
I wax, I will never go near an epilator!! shaving is for last minute events when there's no time to book an appointment though hahaha |

| i always wax my legs at home with Nad's. i prefer doing it myself because i can prepare myself better for the pain when i know exactly when it's coming. i can see wanting someone else to do it instead though because it's hard to cause yourself pain!
anyway thought, Nad's is good because it washes off with water. if you chicken out you can just soak the strip with water and take it off without removing any hair. that's also handy if little strings of it fall between the container and your body as you scoop some out with the little spatula. also, it warms to your body temperature, no need to microwave!
i'm sure there are recipes online of other sugar waxes, but i like buying it already made because the texture and stickiness is perfect. i love that there isn't anything artificial in it, i mean, you can eat it if you wanted to! it would probably even taste good! |

| | when you shave your legs does it open the pours in your legs so you get those dots on your legs? .. and when you wax does it make your pours on your legs smaller because you are pulling them out rather than scraping along the surface?? xxx |

| | ^ i'm always terrified of hair removal incase i get big pores on my legs. argh i love summer and wearing shorts, but i hate hair removal. i really don't know which is the best method - i've tried creams and shaving but too scared for waxing. |

| | ^noo.. i mean, they will be long enough to wax them , but hair grows by stages soo the first stage will be over ,but as soon as you come from your appointment new hair will start growing so it won't last as much as it does when you wait like a month between waxings.. |
