| i wasn't sure where to post this, but i think this is the spot. anyways, I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years. We’ve lived together for over 3 years and we've been best friends since we were 16. Driving home from Bonnaroo, we were talking about marriage and our future. He said he wanted to marry me. I assumed he wasn't serious, and i jokingly said, if you are going to ask me to marry you, you better be really romantic for once in your life. So he said okay, on Thursday night, we're going out for the most romantic night of your life. Long story short (too late)... i have good reason to believe he is going to propose on Thursday night. What should i wear for *hopefully* the most memorable day of my life? We are not the romantic couple. We are really chill and we're best friends so we just goof off most of the time. Usually we spend our dates at concerts or bars, playing pool, listening to music, and drinking cheep beer. so when he said be prepared for a romantic evening, i have no idea what he is planning! oh. i guess you ladies need to know this for outfit planning purposes... I'm really petite, 5 foot tall, caucasian, brown curly hair, greenish blue eyes. i don't know if that helps at all, but there you go! Thank you so much! I’m really excited to see what he has in store. |

| Wow first of all congrats! I don't really know what to advise you to wear. Maybe some beautiful dress, that's knee length or so and a pair of heels. This considering that he's gonna take you to a restaurant or somewhere

Hope I helped someway at all |

| oh congrats if it is so!!
you should definitly wear a skirt or a dress!
ideas:

I personally would go for a sexy feminin look so if you're really confused, the little black dress can never be a failure! hehe and remember high heels!! _________________

| | aww that is amazing! i suggest something comfortable, sexy and not too out there. maybe a dress you already own and love. you could pair it with a cardigan or leather jacket. and sandals. |

| | I say you wear a little black dress and heels. Something that you feel beautiful in. If you aren't sure what kind of restaurant you're going to bring two jackets. One casual, one dressy, that way if you go somewhere casual you can down play your dress with the casual jacket and if its fancy dress it up with the other one. Congrats!!! |

| ahhh! I'm getting married!!!! omg you guys thank you so much for the suggestions. i ended up wearing a fuchsia Roberto Cavalli cocktail dress and killer black Manolo's for our night out. (dinner and drinks at the four seasons followed by a walk in central park) however, for the actual proposal, i was wearing his flannel shirt and my hair was in a ponytail. it was so unexpected and adorable. it was my 20th birthday a week ago and that was the day we left for bonnaroo, so i really didn't get to open any presents from like family members. well, i received this huge package from my dad (who is living in Manchester, England with his fiancé) . i unwrapped it and there was another box wrapped inside of it, box after box,... i unwrapped like 10 boxes and the very last box, there was a card from my dad. it said, something like "a handsome young man wants to have your hand in marriage, you have my blessing." i faced him and he held out a gorgeous 2 and a half karat Harry Winston diamond ring. and asked if i would marry him, which of course i said yes. when i type this out, it sounds so cliche and cheesy, but honestly i did not see it coming and the fact that he got my dad's permission before was so adorable. |
