ohh I've been reading Paulo Coelho's books.. he's amazing. I highly recomend Brida and The pilgrimage, both amazing!

On a happier, more shallow note I'd recomend Candance Bushnell's books, Trading up is fab, Four Blondes not so much, but still good.

1984 by George Orwell is great too, totally different from those above, but i loved it!

I definitely recommend The Reader by Bernhard Schlink, haven't got time to watch the movie yet, but the book was amazing.
I also have finished reading The Shack by William P.Young and now I'm actually planning to re-read it again, I absolutely love this book
And last but not least, same with Sol, I think Paul Coelho's books are amazing too, haven't read his books yet, but my friend, who's an avid book reader, suggest me reading some of his works
