| Hi there... 
Ok... how should i start... well...
like more than half a year ago i decided to go on an exchange to the usa  i found an organization and filled out all the forms that are needed...
everything went well BUT there are sooo many students that want to go to the usa that the organization (www.yfu.com) hasn't found a host family for me by now... i'm going to leave in like 6 weeks (or at least that was planned) but without host family...
sooo... i know that there are sooo many nice girls on this board that i decided to ask you if you could ask around if someone that you know could imagine to take a host student for a year  or maybe even your own family?
i know this is kinda weird... but if it helps... i wish soo bad to get a host family...
oh and that you know who i am:
- my name is Andrea
- i'm sixteen (going to be 17 in september)
- i come from switzerland (cute little country between germany, italy, france, austria and lichtenstein with awesome chocolate )
- i am a total fashion victim *lol*

| im from the us and i'm sure my parents would love to take in a foreign exchange student. we already have, actually, a few years ago from thailand! the problem is that although you would be staying with my parents in a lovely house, it's nestled in an aweful hick town in the state of iowa with nothing to do and be surrounded by really stupid people at my old school who don't care about fashion at all!  and my little sister is a total delinquent 
it's uncomfortable there when she's in trouble! |

| well, i dont think i could host you because we dont have an extra bedroom, but there is a lady at my high school who hosts all the exchange students and loves doing it.. we live in the detroit suburbs, its a pretty nice area. i mean i know you think detroit and think it's ghetto but the suburbs are actually really nice.

aaah just a week ago i talked to an exchange student from finnland, hahaa... i've never been there
oh... and there was a boy in my class who comes from finnland

Yes, I can't get enough of NYC but Long Island, is more laid back and I live waterfront so it's more beachy like the California coast I would say so I can go back and forth from my apartment to my house when I feel like I'm getting too much of one or the other.
Fashion wise it's great in the city because you can wear WHATEVER you want and no one will look at you funny because there's all kinds of freaks(I mean that in a nice way) here, especially at night. lol
