| I haven't gotten anything in a bit I'm kind of banned from shopping until winter! I don't mind though I have enough. I feel guilty sometimes for buying expensive things when people are starving. Though you can't live your life worrying always about other people. Yet I still feel truly bad and ashamed that I have expensive things a lot. Do you ever feel that way? _________________ LaJolieEtJeunette.blogspot.com |

OMG my mum sat me down the other night and said i have to curb my spending and give more to charity. i always feel bad after ive bought some £600 shoes or a £1000 dress when you know how that money can so drastically change someones life but you cant go throughout life thinking what if what if so its best to do what you can and give as much as you can give because no matter how much money you could give its never going to delete poverty or save the world. and in all honestly ther is so much more to life than money and labels (gosh i feel im being corny but ive just seen the satc movie and the last lines that carrie says are soooo inspiring)! x |

| ^ i think it's alright to spend money on what you want as long as you also give a bit back to charity. one thing i do is give so much stuff away to charity shops, like i just rake through my wardrobe and donate about a quarter of it every so often.
also, what i find scary is adding up how much you've spent on an outfit / in your wardrobe ... my mum is always moaning at me because i'm too lazy to fold clothes, so i often dump them on the floor for about a week, which is not very respectful to my things ... |

| | i do feel guilty when i buy expensive things, especially because as some of you know i grew up with hardly any money but still got by fine and now i have more money than i could ever need. sometimes i'll be buying something, even if its just a £100 pair of jeans and i will think to myself do i really need another pair of jeans, so i won't buy them. my whole family has a great deal to do with charity, we go to so many charity events and my step dad always tells me and my sister that we do enough just by going to them, but we still donate our old clothes and give money. i get a big weekly allowance that i don't even need because i have my own job, so most of my allowance gets split in half and given to charity. i think it's okay to spend money on things you want, no matter how much they cost, aslong as you give something back aswell. i've always donated old clothes and money, but nowadays i can do it on a bigger scale x |

I have the same problem with my clothes..and my mom always gets mad/sad..I feel guilty, but I just can't help it! When I'm trying to find a perfect outfit I can't just stop and hang my clothes back - I'm in some kind of zone where I can't stop lol!
and haute, I think as long as you donate as much as you do, you're fine no one can find peace just by giving 1 zillion dollars away..I mean we know how much Bill Gates is giving but that hasn't stopped anything...it's a slow process so as long as you can help a little it counts |

| I felt really bad one day. I guess I have always been a person that cared a lot about others. So one day I asked my mom to take me to a craft store and I made bracelets, I just went around and asked fore change and in return I give them a bracelet and It has a little message. I stopped doing it for a while now, but maybe since it is almost summer I am going to be less busy and start it up again. If you are interested I have a website: http://web.mac.com/lilacflower/Site/Welcome.html
I also sell photography, but I'm not good at that so that didn't work out. Oh and you can go on to UNICEF and make your own pledge, it is pretty cool. |
